DES (Delivered Ex Ship)The seller fulfills the obligation to deliver when the goods have been made available to the buyer onboard the ship, uncleared for import at the named port of destination. The seller bears all costs and risks involved in bringing the goods to the named port of destination |
DespatchPremium fixed in the charter contract which is paid by the shipowner to the charterer if the latter realises the complete loading or unloading of the ship before expiry of the agreed deadline for loading or unloading |
Destination Delivery Charge (DDC)A charge based on container size, that is applied in many tariffs to cargo. This charge is considered accessorial and is added to the base ocean freight. It covers crane lifts off the vessel, drayage of the container within the terminal and gate fees at the terminal operation |
