Joint OwnershipSpecial company type under maritime trade law. Association of several persons in order to finance a ship. Shares in the ship are issued corresponding to the assets provided by each person. The joint owners must bear the costs in accordance with the share they hold and participate in the profit and loss of the association. Their personal liability extends to all their assets; they are entitled to the management. As a rule they agree that one owner acting as an agent is entrusted with the management |
