CFR (Cost and Freight)

The seller prepays the cost of carriage to the named port of destination, and clears the goods for export. Risk of cargo loss or damage transfers to the buyer when the goods pass the ship's rail at the port of shipment

Charges, Statement of

A detailed statement of all charges sent to the importer, illustrating how the charges were calculated. The statement of charges deals with charges incurred by the shipper to the importer, outside of the quoted or agreed price

Shipper. Contracting partner of the carrier. A ship is placed at his disposal against hire

Chartering Broker

Independent merchant from the legal and commercial point of view without regular commission. He coordinates ship and cargo, i.e. the C.B. coordinates the conclusion of voyage charter and time charter contracts. For this service he receives a brokerage commission, as a rule amounting to 1.25%
